Lighted Boat Parade w/ Thurston Wolfe Winery

One of our favorite events and tastings of the year is the La Conner Lighted Boat Parade, a great opportunity to see creatively dressed and lighted boats cruising up the Swinomish Channel, put on by the Swinomish Yacht Club.   Earlier in the day we're honored to host one of our idols in the wine industry, Dr. Wade Wolfe of Thurston Wolfe Winery.   Located in Prosser in the Yakima Valley, Dr. Wolfe has done extensive research for almost 4 decades and published numerous papers on viticulture in Washington.  Working closely with the late Dr. Walter Clore, he helped to identify ideal suitability for growing certain varietals in particular areas, and was one of the first to experiment with grapes such as Lemberger, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel.   Lots of tasty Thurston Wolfe wines will be featured, so come on out and meet Dr. Wolfe, put together a mixed case and enjoy the boat parade, which usually begins around 6:30 or so.   20% case discounts, mixed ok on all featured Thurston Wolfe wines!
