Women Winemakers of Washington Dinner Cruise
Aug 7 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Are the dinner cruises happening this year?   The short answer... "we hope so"!  After chatting with the owner of San Juan Cruises we discovered they are allowed to operate in Phase 3.  Currently, Whatcom and Skagit counties are in Phase 2, so we hope by the first cruise date of August 7th we'll move into Phase 3.  The format will be the same as last year, with pick up on the Channel Lodge dock in front of the wine shop, and a 2 1/2 dinner cruise through Deception Pass with winemakers onboard.  The silver lining is we'll be using an even larger boat this year, the Salish Express which is 100' and has 12 private booths for seating, which have been divided off to account for proper distancing.  We're also limiting the total number of people to 40 - this gives ample space for everyone, including the open top deck to browse and enjoy the scenery.  Unlike prior trips, we'll have table service instead of buffet-style... which will be a nice touch!  All cruises are Friday evenings and details are listed below; we encourage you to book a room in La Conner, as you can easily walk from all hotels, B&B's, etc. from the boat.   And, all properties are being very flexible with their reservation policies (please ask upon booking).
If you would like to RSVP please reply to this message, or call the shop at 360.466.1758.   Nothing is charged until a few days before the trip, and if we need to cancel you'll be notified.  We're hopeful and looking forward to more incredible wine tasting experiences on the Salish Sea!  Thank you!

Friday, August 7th - "Women Winemakers of Washington" - this is a fully catered dinner cruise featuring full appetizers, cracked crab and chicken, roasted potatoes, salad, bread and dessert.  The cruise will feature Mari Womack of Damsel Cellars, Lisa Packer of Warr-King Wines and another yet-to-be-named winemaker.  The ideas is to feature boutique wineries owned and operated by women, and they all have fantastic wines and stories of how they got into wine.  The voyage will depart from La Conner at the Channel Lodge dock (directly in front of the wine shop) and take us up the Swinomish Channel and through Deception Pass... this is a fantastic scenic cruise abundant with eagles, seals, and spectacular scenery and wonderful history.  During the cruise you'll have an opportunity to order wine and pick up afterwards at the shop.  Cost is $139 per person + tax.  RSVP is required by calling the shop at 360.466.1758.

If you need a place to stay, check out these properties in La Conner, including the convenient Channel Lodge... just a few steps away from the cruise boat!
