Our annual "Fireworks with Five Star" tasting is a real 'blast'! We've been fans of Five Star wines since their beginning, and we're excited to host a 4-day tasting starting Saturday, July 1st through Tuesday, July 4th... come check out the La Conner Fireworks show on July 4th (begins around 9:45 p.m.)... our wine deck is THE best place along the channel to watch the show and we'll have bottles of Five Star wines to sip during this spectacular show! We'll have a bbq for your grilling pleasure so bring out some chairs, your picnic basket and of course your favorite dish to throw on the grill and sit back and enjoy the show! The July "Taste of Walla Walla" dinner cruise is a blockbuster this year featuring Dave Huse from Five Star Cellars, Gordy Venneri from Walla Walla Vintners, & Karin Gasparotti, Assistant Winemaker from Northstar Winery on Saturday, July 22nd. This is a fully catered dinner cruise with wine, appetizers and dessert included. The voyage departs from Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes.... this is a fantastic scenic cruise through the San Juan Islands (and possibly Deception Pass) abundant with wildlife and spectacular scenery. A chartered bus will pick you up at Hellams Vineyard in La Conner at 5 p.m. (please check in to the shop no later than 4:15 p.m.) We'll then head over to the Mystic Sea, a 100' boat based out of Anacortes at Cap Sante Marina, board and depart at 6 p.m. The boat will return to dock at 9 p.m., and you'll then be chartered back to La Conner right out front of the wine shop. All three winemakers will be pouring at the shop from 1 - 4 p.m. before departing for the boat. Cost is $135 per person; ($145 non-club) (+ tax). RSVP is required by calling the shop at 360.466.1758. There is a 10-day, non-refundable cancellation policy in effect for this trip.
