Smelt Derby Weekend Tasting

The La Conner Smelt Derby... one of the longest-running events in Washington!  Back in "the day", tons of smelt were dipped and caught.... campers lined the shores of the Swinomish Channel to hunt for the wiley smelt!  These days, the smelt are few and far between, but the kids still enjoy fishing off the docks!  This Rotary-sponsored event features a raffle, breakfast, and fun kids activities like fish painting, face painting, awards for all kinds of smelt categories.... tons of fun awaits!  To help celebrate this quirky event, we'll put together a group of "ecclectic" wines and a couple of beers.... come on out for some funky family fishing fun in La Conner!
