Ca’Sebastiano, what a place!

Left Torino today and hopped on the train to Vercelli, where a driver picked me up and took me to the first property of the tour, Ca'Sebastiano. A gorgeous property, very secluded and tucked into the foothills, near a castle with amazing peace and quiet. The property has a wine bar, spa, restaurant, pool... full service with class in a laid back, Italian countryside charm. On the drive here in the lowlands were farms growing rice... the best variety used to make high quality risotto and as an ingredient in other food stuffs. The hills of Asti and Monferrato gradually picked up as we got closer to the property, and it's apparent why noble wine grapes such as Barbera and Dolcetto do so well here.
